What we are looking for... 

The Solutions Engineering team is looking for an experienced Sales Engineer in the area of cybersecurity, data analytics and automation based remotely in the Eastern Standard Time zone. This Sales Engineer will provide technical expertise throughout our sales process to our customers. Networking experience is of paramount importance in this search!  

What you will do...  

  • Present in-person and online pre-sales demos of various software to prospective customers.  
  • Provide technical leadership in building demonstrations, prototypes, proof-of-concepts via on-site and remote meetings with customers, proving August Schell’s value in the customer’s environment. 
  • Analyze customers' security infrastructure by capturing requirements and IT management pain points to propose the most suitable solutions. 
  • Provide technical leadership on cybersecurity technologies and reference implementations to internal teams, including pre-sales, post-sales, professional services, marketing, and business development. 
  • Train and assist customers on using industry partner solutions to assess, monitor, and defend their organization. 
  • Author and contribute to proposals responding to solicitations for prospective opportunities. 
  • Serve as the technical point of contact to prospective customers via on-line meetings, phone, or email. 

What you will bring... 

  • A Bachelor’s degree or relevant field experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of major vendors’ cybersecurity product configurations, operations, and deployments. 
  • Experience interacting with senior level/executives to communicate a message of network and security transformation. 
  • Fundamental understanding of customer network and application architectures.  
  • Detailed understanding of workflow from user to application including hybrid architectures with Azure, AWS, GCP. 
  • Experience with Zero Trust Networking architectures. 
  • Experience with SaaS application integration and tenant controls. 
  • Experience with SIEM and log analytics platforms.  
  • Ability to jump in with hands-on configuration when needed. 
  • Ability to travel around the National Capital Region. 

Stand out with... 

  • Solid experience in influencing enterprise architecture design across various senior buyer personas at public sector organizations. 
  • A Security Clearance (preferred, not required).
  • Cloud and cyber security certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM, GSEC, CASP, AWS, Azure, & GCP.
